Today’s match was a great one to watch from start to finish, with both teams playing some great football and putting maximum effort in throughout. After being 2-0 down Eagles battled hard to get a point and keep their brilliant unbeaten run going. Burke scored Eagles first when an eagles corner was cleared straight to him and he finished well from outside the area. Merrey scored the second from another great free kick. Once again Eagles created at least another 4 or 5 good chances througout the match as did Club 81, but had it it not been for great defending from Burke and Wiggins and calm goalkeeping from Soan the 3 points may have gone to 81. It was a real team game and the Man of the match was awarded to Wiggins for great defending and hard work from start to finish, and the determination from Draycott and haines on the wings helped keep the ball in the club 81 half for a good part of the game while Sparks, Marden and Jackson did their best to try and finish the chances that the team created. a great game and a great result against a top team.
